Closer every day!

Just 20 days until I will enter the temple and make sacred covenants that will last for eternity. I can't even explain how excited I am. Still, through all the planning and excitement, I am calm. I am ready. I am eager to step into this new stage of life and love. I have learned so much! Life is full of progression. It never ends-and thank goodness! I feel so blessed to be able to share this life with someone who loves it as much as I do.

live. love. laugh. endure.

My fairytale.

Wow. Officially over a year since I last posted on my blog. So much has happened since then. I had a crazy busy summer in 2011. Met so many wonderful new friends. A couple heartbreaks and a few girls nights out....Eventually my path led me to Utah. To LDS Business College. A new journey began there. Met more wonderful friends. My heart got a little confused....until I met him....Jesse Fisco. We were in the same math class, although, I didn't meet him until the second week of school. I was frantically rushing into class a couple minutes late. I took a quick glance around the room to find an empty seat. Saw it. Sat down. I looked to my left-it was my friend Jesse Bennet from Tennessee. Then I looked to my right...there he was. My prince charming. "WOW! He's cute," I thought. So, I opened my mouth. Whether or not the words came out right or whatever....I spoke. I was nervous. I was probably blushing! I asked him if he did the homework and if it was hard or easy for him..."geeze," I thought, "THAT was a dumb thing to say...." But, he made conversation with me and apparently looked past my awkward first impression! ;) We exchanged phone numbers. Then it began. The dating game; all over again for the millionth time! Except this time it was different. I felt different. HE was different. I was intrigued! I wanted to know what was going on in my heart. We texted each other ALL day EVERY day for the next week or so. We began to get to know each other really quickly. I went over to his house on a Wednesday after school and we went to Baskin Robins and got Oreo milkshakes (our favorite)! AND I met his family that day. I suppose you could consider this our 'first date'. And yes, he held my hand on the first date....scary! haha. That was NOT like me. But, like I said, everything was different with Jesse. It all came naturally. :) Three days later, he took me to a Jazz game! I was thrilled. I love the Utah Jazz and so does he. Score. Our first kiss was that night. My heart skipped a beat...or two...or maybe a thousand! After that, we talked about dating more exclusively...he asked me to be his girlfriend. :) Except...I had already had a date lined up with someone else for that next week and it would have been rude to cancel....so...I went on the date...but afterwards I went to Jesse's house. haha ;) Every date since then has been with the love of my life-Jesse Jay Fisco! I love him so much. I remember the firs time we said, "I love you." We were sitting on bean bags watching a movie at his dad's house. He looked at me and said, "Ambry, I think I'm falling in love with you. And I'm falling fast." He is my bestest friend in the whole world. And now he's my fiance and in 27 days he will be my husband. He stole my heart and I never want it back. <3

Happy National Donut DAY!!

Such a funny holiday. Or should it even be called a holiday? I think it's more of a day of observance for all those donut-lovers out there. I don't know. =)

Enough with the Cicada's!!!!!!!

YUCK, YUCK, YUCK!!! Cicadas are sooo nasty! I'm tired of not being able to walk outside without being attacked by them! Eww, ewww, ewwww!!! Besides that, they are SOOOO loud! BREEIIHHHH! BREEIIHHH! So annoying. I'm still trying to figure out if they actually have a purpose. I know they must be good for SOMETHING, right??...or else they would not have been created. I'm determined to figure this out. In fact, I'm going to research it right now! Stay tuned!..............................................................................................................
................................................................................................................................
................................................................................................................................
...........................................................................................................Okay, so apparently cicada's aren't useless. (But I still think we could do without them!) I found that among other things, they are part of the food chain and in some countries they are, believe it or not, a source of food. Very interesting. I also found that they have quite a fascinating life cycle. If your curious, check out these links below! http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/cicadas-2011-13-year-insects-make-noisy-arrival/story?id=13582545  or http://www.cicadamania.com/cicadas/2008/06/28/what-is-the-purpose-of-cicadas/
Now I suppose I should try to look on the bright side of things! I guess it's good that the species here in Tennessee only come out every 13 years....and lots of kids have fun playing with them (gross)....and...umm...well that's all I can think of. Haha :)

It's worth a try!!

The prophet Gordon B. Hinckley was an active optimist. Although he was fully aware that the future would hold it's fair share of adversity, he also said, "I am an optimist. I think the future looks good." His faith was unflinching. He would repeatedly assure and encourage others to "Keep trying...Be believing. Be happy. Don't get discouraged. Things will work out." Think about that statement for a moment..................Isn't that a great attitude!? Optimism is quite contageous in nature. When someone smiles at you, isn't it hard not to feel happy inside and smile back? Optimism is the same way. When you come in contact with someone who is full of positive energy and zeal, their cheerful disposition rubs off onto you and you automatically walk away in a better mood than you might have been in before. Now flip the coin. YOU are the optimist. Doesn't it feel great to make other people feel good and brighten their day? Then, let's put this observation to the test. This week, month, year, and the rest of our lives, let's strive to let our optimism shine! I think when we are happy and optimistic the little things that might normally annoy or bother us, might not seem as bad. Plus, isn't happiness all around easier and more fun than sadness? Afterall, it is a proven fact that it takes more muscles to frown than it does to smile. :)  So, be happy! SMILE BIG!! :) And have a wonderful day. :D

"Hey, she looks like Sarah Palin!!!"

So, ever since Sarah Palin's big campaign last year, a lot of people have said that my mom looks a lot like her. We heard news that Sarah Palin was going to visit the Brentwood Costco today for book signing. Well, my mom and one of her friends ventured out to Costco today to see if they could meet her. Apparently people started lining up in the parking lot of Costco yesterday and even camped out overnight!! Well, in the midst of all the people waiting to meet Sarah Palin, was my mom. Heads turned everywhere and hundreds of people thought my mom was her! One guy even handed my mom a book and said, "Can you please sign this?" According to Jamie Helquist my mom was asked to take pictures with over 20 people. Oh my goodness, it's hilarious! They also said that as people drove by they would do a double-take and then wave at my mom with vigor. I guess they thought they got lucky and saw Sarah Palin. haha. She got an interview with Channel 4 news. You can check it out in the link below!

Ah, the joy of a little sister!

She is so hilarious. I just love her! She always brightens my day. Well, most of the time anyway! The other times she is getting into my stuff in my room. :) Anyways...this morning, she was sitting on my mom's lap and being crazy, as usual. She and my mom were exchanging comments and my favorite part of the conversation went like this:
Mom: Why do I love you so much?
Alyssa: Because you lost your glasses!
*giggles*
Mom: Do you still love me even when you say you hate me?
Alyssa: Uh.....yeah.
She is so funny! I don't know where in the world she got her sense of humor. She loves making us laugh. :)

Utah eats people....

I'm dead serious. Hear me out on this one!! So, my dear friend Nina and I have OFFICIALLY came to the dreadful conclusion that UTAH EATS OUR FRIENDS!!! I'm tellin' ya, its TRUE!! It all started with....ummm....I don't exactly remember when it started. That's just how awfully horrific this matter is. As far as I remember, a lot of my friends started going to college, most of them to BYU (which is indeed found in the pleasant, yet dreadful state of Utah). Then, before I knew it the MTC (also located in Utah) began devouring some of the guys I like to call my friends. It even ate my adored brother! *sniff, sniff* 'Twas a sad, sad day indeed. Now, my dear friend Kallie and her family are moving to Utah. Will Utah's hunger ever be satisfied? Or will this painful ravaging never cease?

Looking inside...

I have come to the conclusion that I am a very indecisive individual. I love being myself and being independand, but I don't like making decisions. Well, certain ones anyway...I've also decided that I am the type of person who always wants to fix everything. And I mean EVERYTHING!! As most of you may know, that is pretty much impossible. So, I've been looking inside myself lately. I've decided while I can't make everything all better, if I have a positive outlook, things will automatically seem better. You, know, it will make things easier to deal with or not as hard to understand. Does that make any earthly sense???

Easily scared...

So I went to "Millers Thrillers Haunted Woods" on Saturday night. Wow. I was totally freaked out! haha! Kirsten Carter and some other people I know were working there. And, well...let's just say when you hear your name coming from some creepy voice out of nowhere, in the middle of the woods at night...IT'S SCARY!! haha. But it was fun. I'm weird I actually enjoy getting scared! Can't wait until next year!! =D

Passports are expensive!!!

I'm mad at the government for making us pay so much just to prove that we are eligible to travel outside the U.S. Did you know that passports cost around $150.00?? *sigh* Guess I'd better start saving up. :]

Smart little pup!

Watch this video...its hilarious!!! I mean no political offense by posting this. I promise! But this dog is funny!

Getting started...

So, I was trying to figure out what to name my blog and "Metamorphosis" seems fitting.  Essentially, metamorphosis implies change. My life is constantly changing. I am constantly trying to become who I want to be. I am in the process of metamorphosis. Stay tuned! =D
